To join an arena team, you must be level 70. You can, however, do practice arena matches at any time. Sign up for a practice match near the battle masters in any major city.
If you wish to join a Ranger arena team, contact Commander Willowheart, or just post here.
Current arena teams:
The Rangers (2v2)
Aleuralisaen
Lucreccia
Vess
Shebali
Elven Rangers (3v3)

Vallah

Whisperwind Alliance (5v5)

There was a bit of confusion as to how the Arena system mechanics work. Here is a basic rundown.
The Arena uses an ELO system to determine match opponents. That is an overly convoluted mathematical comparison system that judges probabilities of winning and losing, and finds the team closest in performance to your own.
Based on the math done prior to the match, the Arena creates a point value to add or remove from the team rating on a victory or defeat. This is what is important in the Arena activity.
Arena Points are awarded weekly based on three factors, and some more crazy math.
1. Team Rating - The primary discernment for how many points are gained.
2. Team Type - The larger team activity awards more points.
3. Personal Activity - A player only gains points if they are active in 30% or more of the team's matches within the week.
The actual math for the number of points gained per week is unconfirmed. There are outdated calculators, and a graph showing the affects of Rating, but they are also of little use as the information is not 100% reliable. It is known to be most beneficial to have a team rating between 1500 and 2500 for the highest point yield with easy matches.
The Arena requires each team to participate in at least 10 matches per week, or no points will be awarded. |

Those lists at the top are prity old & some of them have changed slightly. though as far as i know they are all full. so in saying that Asael & Kayalyn are keen to make a team 2vs2 or 3vs3 |

I guess this would be an opportune time to point out that I would love to partake in arena once I get back! |

When will you be back?
I have no arena teams, I wouldn't mind playing a few games..alas I have a broken arm just now, so can't raid or partake in anything other than AuctionHousing for the next 5 weeks. |

I'll be back 1-9 March and 20-24 March, but not again after that until May. Also, if I can get an SSH server running on my home machine, I might be able to play in the meantime. |

I've recently set my sights on the Merciless Gladiator's Dragonhide Helm and the Merciless Gladiator's Maul, so I'll be ready to fight!
(The Maul alone would give me godly DPS -- over 3000 AP.) |

What's the AP cap? 3600? |
